Candlewood Lake
With Spring upon us and this wonderful warm weather, I can’t wait to head out to the lake… Candlewood Lake!
Cell Phone Pics – New Milford, CT
While out showing homes in New Milford, Connecticut – I took a few photos using my cell phone.
Here is one looking at the Town Bridge from Route 7 – which has been under construction to up the 1 lane each way to 2 lanes.

Sherman, Connecticut

Sherman, Connecticut - incorporated in 1802, is a quaint small town with an estimated population of 4,110. It is always a pleasure to show homes there.

Sherman neighbors the towns of New Fairfield and New Milford, CT along with Putnam County in New York.

Sherman has a lake community with homes, beach areas and docks on Candlewood Lake. The scenery also includes rolling mountain views and farmland along with it’s historic center of town. On Route 37 the popular American Pie sits – a delicious family restaurant that also has pies, breads, cakes – and meals to go that taste just like they’re homemade!

Call or e-mail for all available homes in Sherman… Won’t You Be My Neighbor?
American Towns – Brewster & New Fairfield
My American Towns are New Fairfield, CT – where my husband and I live and are raising our 5 children – and – Brewster, NY – where I happily work as a REALTOR for Century 21 V.J.F. Realty. I am licensed in both states and show homes in 5 counties throughout those states. For information in and around these areas, AmericanTowns.com has some great info:

RISING HEAT CONTINUES IN CT & NY
The HEAT continues to rise in Connecticut and New York. Once again, many schools through out have early dismissal.
In New Fairfield, CT, we received an “Alert Now” message saying that the Senior Rec Center would be open all day for anyone needing shelter from this severe heat and humidity - and that CANDLEWOOD LAKE would be open – a GREAT place to cool off!
CANDLEWOOD LAKE is a man made lake with over 60 miles of shoreline. In 1928, Connecticut Light & Power began the process of making Connecticut’s largest lake with water from the HOUSATONIC RIVER.
In the 1940′s, summer cottages were being built around the 4 towns and city that surround the lake - BETHEL, BROOKFIELD, NEW FAIRFIELD, NEW MILFORD AND SHERMAN - along with the CITY OF DANBURY.
Now, most of the homes on and near the lake, are used all year round. They also have Lake Associations with clubhouses, beaches and private docks.
Candlewood Lake has been a favorite for residents and visitors to boat, fish, water-ski and jet-ski – or to just sit back, relax and enjoy the view!
WON’T YOU BE MY NEIGHBOR?
