Day 141:
Difficult getting out of bed this morning – I was up late last night… again… Ha! Who am I kidding? This has been every night for almost 2 years now!! Between my Searching and Sending Listings – Promoting my Listings – my Blog – Reading and keeping up on all the news, new recipes and tips and sometimes posting on Active Rain, Zillow and Trulia – then there’s Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, You Tube and Flickr – Oh… and my 300′ish e-mails a day. You ask, When do I have time for anything else? One of my favorite words is – Multitasking! that and getting very little sleep! The rings around my eyes are proof! But, I love what I do and hope to one day, when I’m all grown up 
to be a better writer.
Well enough of that – today, Wednesday – No Realtor Open House Day – Real Estate continues to be melow and that is alright since I’m also cramming in my Christmas Shopping, wrapping and decorating. I’m sure that is what most people are also doing. Although, I do have some clients that are out looking for homes. A few are looking in my home town of New Fairfield, CT. Last week, after our snow fall, we were out and they made a comment about how pretty the snow looked. I agree – here are a few photos I took today after dropping Sara off at school – these were all taken from the New Fairfield High School’s exit…

The Weather Channel announced that we may have snow in the forecast for Christmas! I’m hoping it will be just enough to cover everything with a Frosty White Blanket, but not enough to interfere with all the Holiday Travelers visiting family. We know that Santa can get through any snow storm – but unfortunately, none of us have a sleigh!

This past weekend, I purchased my freshly cut Christmas Tree. I LOVE the smell of the pine needles and deciding where to place my ornaments. This year, my family and I will have decorate the tree together – a wonderful holiday tradition. With my mother visiting from Portugal, my husband and I working 7 days a week and my 5 kids running in different directions – it will take some planning!

Holiday Shopping at Danbury Fair Mall
I feel like a kid again when I go Holiday Shopping at the Danbury Fair Mall in Danbury, CT.
All the decorations are up and Santa’s Tracking Station await to take photos of your little ones with Santa. Throughout the holiday season, there are community performances from local schools and organizations performing holiday entertainment - check the guest services desk for a schedule. The Mall, Connecticut’s largest shopping mall, has approximately 200 retailers along with lots of yummy eateries. For a treat for all ages, take a ride on the malls famous carousel. The large department stores are Macy’s, JCPenney, Sears and Lord & Taylors . A few other stores are: GAP, Old Navy, Coach, PacSun, Radio Shack, Foot Locker, KB Toys, Apple Store, Yankee Candle, H & M and many, many more located on 2 levels. Also, a great holiday movie and one of my family’s favorite, A Christmas Story, has a very funny scene where the dad tries to sneak a piece of delicious Turkey - but never makes it due to the neighbors dogs getting to it first!
A Yummy recipe from Jen’s Blog on Homegood’s site:
Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread
- 1-15 oz can pure pumpkin
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup oil
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 3-1/2 cups flour
- 3 cups sugar
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 1-1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Combine pumpkin, eggs, oil and water. Mix flour, baking soda, sugar, spices and salt in a separate bowl and add pumpkin mixture. Mix well. Fold in chocolate chips. Place batter into 2 well greased loaf pans and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour or until done. Making 2 loafs allows you to share one enjoy the other!

Realty is located.
I was born and raised in Mt. Vernon, New York.
