My Life as a Realtor – Day 224
My Life as a Realtor ~
Day 224:
Yes – working from home again today. My mother and I enjoyed a movie in the afternoon – a nice break from being on the computer since 7:30 am – although, I took my lap top into the living room to work while watching. So, not sure if this qualifies as a full break! Although, Remi took advantage and took his own break…
and yes, that is Dennis Quaid on screen in the movie – “Day After Tomorrow” – where global warming causes another ice age.

Day 222:
Sunday – new client today!
We viewed many homes in Ridgefield CT and a few in Danbury CT and enjoyed having to truck through the snow of the homes that had not yet been plowed!
We ended the day with me dropping them off at Starbuck’s in New Fairfield CT.

Day 220:
Friday and the storm came and it is a doozy!
Remi loved playing in this cold – white stuff!
Amanda made her famous German Apple Pancake. I couldn’t resist and had to take a bite before snapping a pic...
It was a nice day to work from home since I couldn’t go out because of the storm! Hopefully it will be fine to go out tomorrow since I may have an appointment with new clients!

Day 219:
Anticipated storm never really came! Of course the kids were disappointed – but… I had the day to myself – trying to do as much work as possible…
For dinner, I made a dish that I had seen on Rachael Ray – Grilled chicken, eggplant, tomato and mozzarella cheese. Everything but the cheese gets grilled separately - drizzling olive oil and adding a dash of salt & pepper – stacking all and popping back in the over to just melt the cheese! Mmmmm!

Day 218:
Wednesday… kids had a 2 hour delay – which I think I love more than they do!
Remi (aka Buba) and Tisha (aka Tishona) enjoyed being naughty and sitting on the couch…
While Moe (aka Moe-Joe-Joe-Joe) hid in his favorite spot – above the kitchen cabinets…
Although, Remi found him within seconds – as always. I swear, he can smell him a room away!

Day 216:
More phone calls – e-mails – and a few text messages – a nice, busy Monday.
Then, after my first of six loads of laundry was washed – I threw it into the dryer, and… nothing. My dryer was not working and I’m having a mini-fit!
So, after spending some time attempting to fix the dryer myself – Ha! that was a pretty site! I called Sears and scheduled an appointment for their repair service to come out and basically save my laundry life. Please keep in mind that the 6 loads of laundry are almost EVERY DAY!
So, I washed 5 loads of laundry, ran to the laundromat to dry them….
Squeezed all 5 loads into 4 dryers since they are substantially larger than my Elite Dryer at home – then took off to pick up pellets. Once I came back, my clothes just needed a few more minutes and Voila! All was dry! Boy, I wish I had this many dryers at home!!!

Day 215:
Sunday – finally, a day to relax….. NOT! Have a wonderful new client who is looking into purchasing in Connecticut – possibly Ridgefield.
After making loads of phone calls, e-mails and working here – on my blog – I took a quick ride to Shaw’s since the kiddies are back to school tomorrow and I need a few things – going to the market 4 to 5 times a week is never enough!
Here are a few pics as I made my way to Shaws in New Fairfield CT…
Heading down Brush Hill Road/Route 39
Waiting at the light – Intersection of Rte 39 and Rte 37 - I can see Shaw’s up ahead

Day 214:
Saturday… Work, work, work – then headed to Brookfield CT to my brother’s house for a Birthday celebration for my youngest nephew who turned 3!
Here is his Dinosaur Birthday Cake…

Day 211:
It’s Wednesday and it’s back out to shop for groceries, pellets, gas up the car,… bla-bla-bla…
First stop in Danbury was Walmart…
The entire store has been recently renovated, adding a larger food section.
Then, we stopped at Marshalls… ooo – la – la!
then Burlington…
Our last stop was in New Fairfield for gas at Mobil and groceries at Shaw’s and it was back home – and back to work.

Day 210:
More SNOW in New Fairfield, CT!
The kids started their week back to school with a 2 hour delay. Remi just loves the snow – here he followed Jonathan to the end of our driveway to wait for the school bus…
It snowed the entire day…
It became a White Winter Wonderland – Here is a view of our back yard from the dinning room window…
I was happy to be working from home – until it was time to go out – a trip to Shaw’s for some groceries and into Danbury for some pellets!

Day 206:
It’s Friday! Kids are on winter break, so this was an easy week. No worries about bedtime, lunches, homework – I love when they’re home! Remi also loves having them home. He played around with Jonathan for a while until he was all pooped out…
In the afternoon, Jonathan and I went to Shaws and to get pellets to keep our pellet stove going. It is the best investment we’ve ever purchased. Our heating bills are less and our home warmer!

Day 203:
Snow ~ Snow ~ Snow! Big snow storm hit New Jersey and the tri-state area in New York. Here in New Fairfield, Connecticut – we didn’t get the foot of snow like other areas did – and I am thankful we didn’t!
David plowing the driveway while Remi enjoyed watching
Ma made soup, while I accomplished a ton of work on-line. Here is Remi watching while I snap photos of the snow…
