It’s Friday! Kids had a 2 hour delay – which meant I had a bit more sleep this morning 
Then, Ma and I went to Brookfield, CT to stop by my listing * CLICK * - which has just been relisted and reduced…

And today couldn’t go by without grocery shopping – so, we stopped at Stop & Shop…

A great Busy – Busy day! In the morning, I headed into the office to wait for my first appointment to show my listing in Brewster, NY…

A misty rain the entire day, but not cold – which made for easy showings and better commutes for all my clients!

Started the day with a morning appointment in Danbury CT – a townhouse in the Lakewood complex – a great unit with lots of room right on the Danbury/New Fairfield border. There are no interior photos of this unit, so I will so my best to give you a tour… picture a walk-up unit – eliminating anyone above you possibly making noise – walk into a spacious Living Room with Fireplace, Balcony and Vaulted Ceilings – Lead into the Kitchen with Breakfast Bar, pantry and Dinning Room with views of the woods - also, one of the 3 bedrooms in on this level – which has been converted into a study with shelving on all four walls – lastly, 1/2 a bath. Moving on up to the 2nd floor to 2 Bedrooms and a Full Bath. This unit also includes a garage!

From the Lakewood complex, my client and I headed to view 4 more townhouses in the Shepherd Hill complex – which is a hop and a skip from I-84. I always enjoy viewing identical models – but all so different with each owners choices in flooring, paint, furniture,…
Afterwards, I had a quick lunch at home and went to the office until my afternoon appointment – a home in Patterson, NY. After my client left, I went to pre-view a neighborhood in Quail Ridge – also in Patterson…
On my way home, I added more listing sheets to the brochure box outside, in front of one of my listings…

Before dinner, I decided to try something out. I had read that to take a great exterior photo of a home, wait 1/2 an hour after sunset, turn on all the lights of the windows that will be photographed – and snap a picture…
Well, I’m going to try this again. This time I have to turn on the lights in 4 other areas of the house.

Morning appointment in Brookfield, CT – one condo with a new client – a very sweet newlywed. Then, off to my second appointment. Also in Brookfield with a gentleman who viewed a listing sheet from my brochure box in front of my listing…

Then we did some grocery shopping at Shop Rite…
We’re having a seafood dinner tonight, but I’ll let you in on a little secret – I don’t care for seafood!
Then back into New Fairfield for a quick stop at Shaws for pellets and then back home to do some work before an evening appointment in Danbury to view a few townhouses again in the Rivington complex with first time home buyers. We were there until 8:45pm – and had a grand old-time!

Saturday – a take-it-easy kind of day – and I am so thankful.
I dropped off my commission check and then came back home to clean – cook and I wrote 6 Blog posts!
Fellow agent and good friend of mine, sent me a joke that I’d like to share with you…
I live in a semi rural area. We recently had a new neighbor call the local township administrative office to request the removal of the DEER CROSSING sign on our road. The reason: ‘Too many deer are being hit by cars out here! I don’t think this is a good place for them to be crossing anymore.’

Then I flew back to Shaws to do some grocery shopping – went home to roast a pork loin for our Sunday dinner and hopped back on my lap top to continue working… How quickly this weekend went by!

Day 88:
Saturday – a very busy Saturday! Met with a client and his family, in Patterson, NY to view a home that he is interested in purchasing. Then flew home to get my things together for a Public Open House on my listing in Brookfield, CT ~ CLICK here to view listing sheet.
Afterwards, picked up my Open House signs and flew to the office to pick up listing sheets and to update my electronic key for appointments tomorrow.
Then, met with a very sweet couple to view a home in Brewster, NY.
After my appointment – made a few phone calls while making my way to A & P – picked up a few things for a wine & cheese night with my sister Lisa and brother-in-law Richie. We decided to watch the Yankee game instead of a movie. The Yankees won after 13 innings – a very exciting game! Although, the pouring rain and frigid temperatures made me uncomfortable for the fans in the stands. One other person that was at the game – working as security – was my client from this morning. He was stationed behind 3rd base – Lucky him, except for the freezing part!

It’s Tuesday – kiddies are all back to school after a long weekend. I have lots to do before my noon’ish appointment with my client. At the top of my list – price reduction on one of my listings – 150 Pocono Road ~ Brookfield, CT – Reduced to $398,000 ~ CLICK ~ to View Listing Sheet.
I met my client at the office – Century 21 VJF Realty, and viewed 5 homes in the Carmel/Kent – Brewster/Patterson area. One of the homes was a second showing – it has loads of potential!

Did some work – errands – and home to make dinner and tend to the kids – pets and house – and, very, very grateful that Jonathan’s soccer practice was canceled! That’s one less thing on my “To Do” list.

I can’t believe I have to go back to Home Depot… again… since the moulding that Joe purchased yesterday was, well – I’ll be nice… or maybe I won’t – it was just darn ugly!!!

Home to pick up Jonathan and drop him off for soccer practice…
All while talking, texting and e-mailing clients – I love my phone, I love my phone, I love my phone… To be able to assist all of my clients from anywhere and everywhere is awesome! How did we ever manage without cell phones?
Oh, I remember when I was pregnant with Amanda – who is now 17. Two weeks before my due date, my husband was at a soccer game about an hour away – and of course, I go into labor and Joe has no cell phone! In the end, it all work out – my sister, Lisa, who was also expecting ~ her son Derek ~ came and stayed with Melissa – who was 3 1/2 – and David – who was 1 1/2. My brother-in-law, Richie, drove me to the hospital – where all the nurses mistook him for my husband and kept wanting to examine me with him in the room! Miraculously, my contractions seemed to slow down - I think Amanda decided to wait for her daddy before making her dramatic entrance – so, I was told to go take a walk around the hospital halls. Poor Richie came with me – wobble, wobble – down the hall I went – and to my surprise, when I reached the end of one of the hallways where the elevators were – the doors opened and there was my Joe – soak and wet due to a terrible rain storm during the game – but he was there and Amanda was born – healthy, happy and beautiful!

Sunday…. back to Home Depot- except this time, Joe went – Yippee! He purchased moulding to make a frame around our bathroom mirror and add crown moulding. I know, I thought he was all done – the renovations seem to never end…
Sent listings – phone calls – set up a Public Open House for my listing – 2A Hudson Drive ~ New Fairfield, CT - for Sunday, October 11th from 1 to 4pm
We also just had a price reduction – Home being offered for $305,000

Today – Saturday – busy, busy!

Picked up balloons at Shaws for a Public Open House on my listing – 52 Mountain Brook Road – Brewster, NY – from 11am to 1pm.
Then flew to get gas and wine on Route 22 in Brewster…
Purchased 3 bottles of Red Wine – from Portugal, Spain and this one that reads B~I~T~C~H
Back up Milltown Road – from Brewster, NY into New Fairfield, CT - approx 6 minutes – to grab some lunch at home before my next Public Open House on another listing – 2A Hudson Drive – New Fairfield, CT
Welcome!
During the Open House, a gentleman and his wife came, they had owned this home back in the 70′s – it was awesome to watch them view the home and all it’s changes.
When I arrived back at home, I was so happy to see that Joe was painting the kitchen walls - a creamy yellow. I was even happier that I couldn’t cook dinner. Yahoo – Chinese!
After dinner, we sang Happy 21st Birthday to Melissa – our oldest – did I say 21? Where have the years gone…
Melissa’s Birthday was on Thursday, September 17th – we had a special dinner, but no time for the cake since friends were taking her out to celebrate! Therefore, she has been celebrating all weekend!

Morning appointment in Danbury, CT with clients to measure rooms in a home that will soon be theirs!
Then off to New Fairfield, CT to pick up my 4′ wedge at the Food Market. They had just finished wrapping it – so it will be fresh and yummy for my Realtor Open House on my new listing in Brewster, NY ~~~CLICK~TO~VIEW~LISTING~SHEET~~~ and – I’ll be having an Open House tomorrow here from 11am to 1pm.

In the evening, I had an inspection in Southbury, CT – another lovely home for my other lovely clients!

As a full time REALTOR in Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess counties in NEW YORK – and Fairfield and parts of Litchfield counties in CONNECTICUT , I am very pleased to have the opportunity to share my passions on REAL ESTATE, FAMILY, PETS, anything and everything in and around a HOME – including COOKING, MOVIES, MUSIC and more!
I have been married for 25+ years to my wonderful husband Joe. We have 5 children – Melissa, David, Amanda, Sara and Jonathan. After waiting anxiously – for almost 17 years, being home with my kids for 10 and a Nursery school teacher for 7 years – I FINALLY became a Licensed Realtor – first in Connecticut - where my family and I live – and then in New York – where my office, Century 21 V.J.F. Realty is located.
I was born and raised in Mt. Vernon, New York. My parents, who came to the US from Portugal, were extremely hard working – with even stronger ethics on being good to everyone – everywhere – period! “Faz bem, nao olhes a quem.” This has been instilled in me all my life, which has made me the mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend and the REALTOR I am today.
