My Life as a Realtor – Day 198
My Life as a Realtor ~
Day 198:
Back to work – set up appointments for rental/condo showings in New Milford and Danbury for Saturday.
After working for a few hours, it was time to pick up Amanda at school after Theatre practice. When I got into the car, Moe was relaxing on the hood and as I pulled out, he didn’t want to budge!
When I picked up Amanda at the New Fairfield High School, the sun had just gone done…
and I’ll have to be back here tomorrow at 6am with Amanda again – Ugh!
My Life as a Realtor – Day 141
My Life as a Realtor ~
Day 141:
Difficult getting out of bed this morning – I was up late last night… again… Ha! Who am I kidding? This has been every night for almost 2 years now!! Between my Searching and Sending Listings – Promoting my Listings – my Blog – Reading and keeping up on all the news, new recipes and tips and sometimes posting on Active Rain, Zillow and Trulia – then there’s Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, You Tube and Flickr – Oh… and my 300′ish e-mails a day. You ask, When do I have time for anything else? One of my favorite words is – Multitasking! that and getting very little sleep! The rings around my eyes are proof! But, I love what I do and hope to one day, when I’m all grown up
to be a better writer.
Well enough of that – today, Wednesday – No Realtor Open House Day – Real Estate continues to be melow and that is alright since I’m also cramming in my Christmas Shopping, wrapping and decorating. I’m sure that is what most people are also doing. Although, I do have some clients that are out looking for homes. A few are looking in my home town of New Fairfield, CT. Last week, after our snow fall, we were out and they made a comment about how pretty the snow looked. I agree – here are a few photos I took today after dropping Sara off at school – these were all taken from the New Fairfield High School’s exit…

New Fairfield Connecticut High School
Connecticut Magazine conducted it’s first ever survey of top high schools in the state. New Fairfield High School came in 23rd overall on the list published in November 2008 containing 35 schools ranked by 11 categories.
New Fairfield, Connecticut is a great place to live! Approximately 1 hour from NYC, lots of shops including the Danbury Fair Mall and great schools!
This is’nt the first time New Fairfield High School has been recognized for being a “top school” – U.S. News & World Report gave NFHS a silver ranking in tis review this year. It is 1 of 18 Connecticut schools to receive that designation. Also, Newsweek ranked NFHS in the “Top 1,200 Schools in the Country in 2007.”
Back to School!
Summer is over – and the kids are all back to school! I’ve gotten my 2 oldest off to Western Connecticut State University, 2 into New Fairfield High School and my youngest into New Fairfield Middle School – Whew!
I was very fortunate in getting them ready for school. With having access to many different stores for school supplies and clothes – all within 20 minutes from where I live – New Fairfield, Connecticut – which neighbors Danbury, CT to one side and Brewster, New York to the other side.
Convenience, which is anything that saves time, energy or frustration, is very important – especially with all that is happening around us. Here in New Fairfield, I have convenience.
If I run out of milk – Shaw’s Supermarket is just 4 minutes away – or I go into Brewster to the A & P Supermarket in under 15 minutes – which helps me to take advantage of both stores weekly sales. Need gas? 2 gas stations are also just 4 minutes away from my home. Visiting my daughter in her dorm in Danbury – mostly to pick up her dirty laundry or drop off groceries – is just 15 minutes away, while she pretends to be miles and miles away! My commute to my office – Century 21 V.J.F. Realty in Brewster – is also under 15 minutes away! Convenience, convenience, convenience!

New Fairfield, CT – 2008 Senior Prom
New Fairfield High School in New Fairfield, CT celebrated their Senior Prom. It took place this past Sunday, May 25, 2008. The day was beautiful with blue, sunny skies and warm temperatures – perfect for picture taking!
My son, David, his date Ashley and friends – including my niece Kristin, took all day preparing. They attended picture parties and then made their way to the High School where they boarded 6 coach buses. They arrived in New York City for a dinner and dance cruise around the Statue of Liberty. Fun, fun – FUN! And many memorable memories to last a lifetime!
Going to School in New Fairfield, Connecticut

As Spring is blooming and buzzing all around us, more and more people are out shopping for a Home.
One very important question that every buyer should ask their Realtor is for a School Report. Whether you have children or not, buying in an area with a good school system is also important for re-sale purposes. Since you may want to sell your home in a few years to buyers that are interested in the school’s.
To learn about New Fairfield School’s, <CLICK> or New Fairfield High School.
Most school reports can be e-mailed to you – and most schools have their own website. Need assistance? I’ll be happy to help. Or – HomeFair.com has free school reports on line.

New Fairfield High School Musical – “Kiss Me Kate”

This past weekend, New Fairfield High School presented “KISS ME KATE” – a musical version of Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew.” This play-within-a-play unfolds which each of the four main cast members’ on-stage performance being complicated by what is happening in their off-stage life.
The play was truly entertaining and unforgettable – and not just because my daughter, Amanda, was one of the “Dancers.” Well, maybe a little
The show had 4 performances throughout the weekend and everything from the choreography, scenery, costumes and the entire energy of the show was superb!
As a proud mom and resident of New Fairfield, I look forward to the next High School production.
