Here is a Public View list of the homes we visited today…

My Life as a Realtor – Day 199

My Life as a Realtor ~

Day 199:

Yeah! Friday!!  Although, my favorite day started out with having to drop off Amanda at school at 6am – way too early and dark for me!

By 7:45, Melissa and I headed into the Bronx so she could have her 4 wisdom teeth extracted – poor Melissa!  I must say, the dentist and her staff took very good care of her and it only took us an hour and 5 minutes to get from New Fairfield, CT to the Bronx – and I was driving!

A quick stop at Rite Aid in Brewster to pick up her meds – antibiotics and pain killers.  Then home to get her settled and to work a bit before heading back out.  Jonathan had 10 friends sleep over so a trip to Shaws for snacks – or I should say, junk food!

My Life as a Realtor – Day 190

My Life as a Realtor ~

Day 190:

Wednesday!  Stopped by the office, then a trip to the bank and A&P in Brewster, NY.  I couldn’t believe how many seagulls there was in the parking lot…

 Then Ma and I grabbed some lunch and it was back home to get some work done before my meeting with Network for Free.  This evening, we had a Speed Networking event in Danbury, CT.  We grouped into two’s – had a few minutes to exchange business cards and discuss what we did.  I met a fellow Realtor, some Tech and Marketing people, an Antique Restorations person and many more!  During this time, we were taken aside and given a few minutes to shoot a video with Mike Evans  – Digital Video Productionsand discuss what we do and offer to the public. I can’t wait to see mine to see if what I asked for was done – take 10 pounds and 10 years off my appearance – LOL!

               Leader of our group – Scott Blanchard – Loan Officer – Mortgage Force Newtown, CT

The event was held at PES – Plaza Executive Suites and what a wonderful evening it was!

My Life as a Realtor – Day 185

My Life as a Realtor ~

Day 185:

Yahoo!  It’s Friday!!

Started the day with a morning appointment in Danbury CT – a townhouse in the Lakewood complex – a great unit with lots of room right on the Danbury/New Fairfield border.  There are no interior photos of this unit, so I will so my best to give you a tourpicture a walk-up unit – eliminating anyone above you possibly making noise – walk into a spacious Living Room with Fireplace, Balcony and Vaulted Ceilings – Lead into the Kitchen with Breakfast Bar, pantry and Dinning Room with views of the woods - also, one of the 3 bedrooms in on this level – which has been converted into a study with shelving on all four walls – lastly, 1/2 a bath.  Moving on up to the 2nd floor to 2 Bedrooms and a Full Bath.  This unit also includes a garage!

                                                 ~~~~ CLICK Here to View Listing ~~~~
From the Lakewood complex, my client and I headed to view 4 more townhouses in the Shepherd Hill complex – which is a hop and a skip from I-84.  I always enjoy viewing identical models – but all so different with each owners choices in flooring, paint, furniture,…
Afterwards, I had a quick lunch at home and went to the office until my afternoon appointment – a home in Patterson, NY.   After my client left, I went to pre-view a neighborhood in Quail Ridge – also in Patterson
On my way home, I added more listing sheets to the brochure box outside, in front of one of my listings
                                              ~~~~  CLICK Here to View Listing Sheet ~~~~

Before dinner, I decided to try something out.  I had read that to take a great exterior photo of a home, wait 1/2 an hour after sunset,  turn on all the lights of the windows that will be photographed – and snap a picture

Well, I’m going to try this again.  This time I have to turn on the lights in 4 other areas of the house.

After dinner, it was Bunco in New Fairfield!

But first, I have a lovely Doctors appointment that I must attend also in Brewster.

Here is my view of the ceiling while I was waiting for the Doc to come in…

Then – my fear and worry of being at the doctors office changed to full excitment for my wonderful – and I really mean wonderful – clients.  Here I am at the closing in Mr. Hogan’s office in Brewster…

My Life as a Realtor – Day 178

My Life as a Realtor ~

Day 178:

Looks as though the market is beginning to pick up now after the holidays.  I have a few scheduled appointments with my listings and have noticed more activity in viewings on Listing Book in New York and especially with my listings in Connecticut.  This makes me smile – along with today being Friday!!

Did a few errands – then worked from home.  My poor laptop never gets a break.  While at home, I took a few pics of our pets playing around at home

Moe hiding at the top of the stairs leading to Melissa’s room. As I walked by, he tried swiping at my head.  For some reason Remi is afraid to climb up…

So he hangs out and waits for Moe to come down so he can chase him around the entire house…

Tisha preferred to hang out with me while I made my bed.  She wants nothing to do with Remi and Moe’s cat and dog game.

                                    Terra dos Lobo – Red Wine (Translation – Land of the Wolves)

My Life as a Realtor – Day 175

My Life as a Realtor ~

Day 175:

At the top of our list of things to do today is - LAUNDRY!  My mother and I took 8 loads to Laundry Plus in Brewster, NY – about 15 minutes from home

We put everything to wash and took off to A&P for some grocery shopping – a few phone calls and e-mails came in during our adventure at the laundry mat

After shopping, we went back to the laundry mat – threw everything into dryers and then went for a quick lunch – also in the same shopping center.  Came back – folded and left to get gas and a stop at the Brewster Post Office.

My Life as a Realtor – Day 174

My Life as a Realtor ~

Day 174:

Monday – and I have a Doctors appointment today in Mt. Kisco with the Mt. Kisco Medical Group.  Usually, I’m seen in the Southeast office which is only about 20 minutes away, but it’s good to know that if someone needs to be seen right away, between both offices, you can get an appointment.

Before leaving, I had to drop off Sara at school and noticed the tree that was full of snow last week is bare now…

I have no idea why I noticed this and why I’m mentioning it – ??

After my doctor’s appointment, my mother and I stopped to do some laundry in Brewster, NY at Laundry Plus.  My washer is only 10 months old and it’s not working – Hmmm… maybe it has something to do with the fact that I wash 4 to 6 loads a day!  Well, we are a family of 7 and with my mom here visiting from Portugal for a few months – that makes 8 – so loads and loads of wash that I do a day is just inevitable.  Having no washer for a few days is just impossible, so I decided to try out a laundry mat

We washed one large load, just to try it out and decided to come back tomorrow with more after seeing that it is a clean, large, bright place with many washers – 4 different sizes – and dryers – as well as a television and sofas to sit and relax.

My Life as a Realtor – Day 172

My Life as a Realtor ~

Day 172:

It’s a sunny – but cold – Saturday morning and I have an appointment in Brewster, NY.

My clients, which are first time home buyers, have a closing scheduled for next week and came over to the home to go over a few things with the current owners.  One item on their list was to go through the plantings around the property. We walked through the snow and I could only imagine how beautiful the landscaping will be in the Spring.  For today, we froze while tracking through the snow

My Life as a Realtor – Day 169

My Life as a Realtor ~

Day 169:

CLOSING DAY for my client!!

The closing was held in Carmel, NY at Attorney William Shillings office.  Here are a few pics I took as I drove in Carmel

A beautiful sunny day

Just a few minutes away from the attorney’ s office – I can see “The Retreat” on the horizon

Then past Lake Gleneida

and the Historic Putnam Court House

After the closing, my client was extremely excited and it was also exciting for me to be a part of this.  As we said our goodbyes, I noticed a plaque on the wall…

“It’s a Wonderful Life” – One of my favorite movies and sayings!

My Life as a Realtor – Day 130

My Life as a Realtor ~

Day 130:

It’s Sunday – I can not believe how quickly this long weekend has gone!

Meeting new potential clients today – showing them 1 house in Brewster, NY and then moving unto New Fairfield, CT for a few homes there.  Stopped at the office before heading out and was able to accomplish a few things…

Meeting new potential clients is always exciting.  These were a young couple with a small child and one on the way and interested in moving further north.  Currently, they have their home on the market and are looking into different areas of New York and Connecticut.

After our last showing – in New Fairfield, CT – we passed the town hall where the Lighting of the Tree ceremony was happening.  Christmas is in the air!
