My Life as a Realtor – Day 129
My Life as a Realtor ~
Day 129:
Today is Saturday and once again I have lots to do! Still catching up with work and cleaning up after Thanksgiving Day and the day after party. Today will be a quiet Italian dinner.
My brother-n-law, Frank, just purchased a new camera. He took a few photos – here are 4 of my 5 kids on Thanksgiving Day – boy, I am always thinking of food!

Day 128:
Thanksgiving has once again – come and gone – and so have the 2 turkey’s I made!
Today was lots of catching up both with work and things at home. Also, I have started my Christmas shopping – Yahoo! I ordered a few things from QVC - I LOVE THEM!!! Really! They have competitive prices – easy pay (which on many of their items, they will split your payments into 2 – 3 – 4 easy payments) and I really like how they demonstrate each item.
Joe has also started to put up some of the Christmas lights indoors while I put away some of our Thanksgiving/Fall decor.
Surprisingly, the kids are busy with the fish tank. Yesterday, David and Jonathan changed some of the water in our tank and some of our fish died – so today, David went to PetCo and is really getting into caring for the tank – thank goodness!! It’s one less thing for me to have to worry about.

Day 127:
Oh boy – the day after Thanksgiving – I am stuffed… and everyone is coming back since I made 2 turkey’s and we only ate one!
So, a little cleaning and a little more cooking – to have a few fresh dishes – and a quick stop over in Patterson, NY to a clients home. D invited me over for a drink and to view the lovely things she’s done to the home in just a few months time. Unfortunately, because my guests were arriving, I had to leave early – but first I enjoyed her homemade chicken soup (I had that instead of a drink!)
Our guests arrived and we enjoyed another wonderful evening… Remi too!

My Life as a Realtor ~
Day 121:
It’s Saturday – after making a few phone calls – following up with Feedback from agents that have shown some of my listings – comunicated with clients – accomplished some work on-line and finished a few chores – I set out to Stop n Shop for some grocery shopping – keeping my eye out for any specials for my Thanksgiving dinner.
Then a quick stop at Staples to purchase some ink for my printer and back home to drop off the groceries. As I started dinner, I realized I forgot a few things! So, I left David tending to my half started dinner while I went to Shaws – which is just a few minutes away. I decided while I was there to also rent a few movies from Redbox and purchase a few more pellets. I must have said this a hundred times – I LOVE MY PELLET STOVE! Do you wanna know why? Because it’s close to the end of Novemeber and I haven’t turned on my furnace!!
My Life as a Realtor – Day 120
My Life as a Realtor ~
Day 120:
It’s Friday – and I have to go buy my Turkeys – notice Turkey is plural - I will be roasting 2 medium-sized Turkeys – carving one and leaving the other as my table decor – at least until it’s needed.
Stop n Shop in Danbury has Butterball Turkeys - frozen for .89 cents per pound – and fresh for $1.39 per pound – that is where I will be purchasing them.
In the middle of work, I was talking to my youngest daughter, Sara. How I got into “It’s Raining Men” by the Weather Girls started – I have no idea. Sara didn’t recognize the song, especially since I was trying to sing it and being that she is only 16 and this song and video was from 1984 – 25 years ago – so to You Tube we went and boy did we have fun watching this music video!
Then it was back to work – dinner and time to get ready for Bunco with the Bunco Babes! Right after eating and getting ready to leave for our monthly game, our power went out – my entire block had a black out! Only 3 kids were home and Hubby-Hub was working through the night. So, we lit some candles, listened to some music and told some ghost stories! Then I left for Bunco – my sister picked me up and we enjoyed our evening.

My Life as a Realtor – Day 110
My Life as a Realtor ~
Day 110:
Not a very busy day today – mostly catching up with e-mails and paper work since I was out all day yesterday. Still working on trying to get my clients closing to happen for this week – and getting all ready for an inspection tomorrow.
The weather is quickly changing – it’s cooler and windy – Fall is in the air with Winter on its heels – Oh, how I hate the cold. Although, it is nice living in the Northeast and being able to go through all 4 seasons. My least favorite being winter! Once the holidays are over – and the crisp, clean snow is just dirt and sand mush – and… we’ve hit over $2,000 in oil expense to heat our home - I’m DONE with Winter and long for Spring! Sorry – I’m just venting.
Well, again – Fall is here and Thanksgiving Day will be arriving soon. I’ve started planning my menu and I’d like to bake an Apple Cake. I think I may experiment with a few apples I have here…
